Adrenal Fatigue Supplements

 

The following supplements can be used to compensate for any vitamin or mineral deficiencies that you may have. It is not uncommon for individuals that suffer from high stress and adrenal fatigue to be deficient in a number of vitamins and minerals. B-Complex

 

B vitamins are important for your nervous system, they are involved in many bodily processes and are critical for energy production and utilization. There are 3 key B vitamins: B3, B5 and B6. Vitamin C

 

There are a lot of vitamins and minerals needed for the adrenal glands to function properly, but vitamin C is probably the most important one. Vitamin C is directly involved in producing cortisol in the adrenal glands and protects the adrenal glands from oxidative damage that occurs during stress. Vitamin D

 

Foods are a very modest source of vitamin D. Fortunately there are two other ways to get your vitamin D. The first one is by exposing your skin to sunlight. But for several reasons most of us don’t get enough exposure to sunlight to make vitamin D (we live mostly indoors nowadays, use of sunscreen, seasonal lack of sunlight etc).

Fermented cod liver oil is a great supplement that provides vitamin D. Digestive Aids

 

Poor adrenal function is often related to poor digestion and low gastric acidity. Hydrochloric acid (HCL) is naturally secreted in the stomach to digest food in order to be absorbed in the bloodstream, but chronic stress can deplete HCL and the body’s ability to produce HCL begins to decline after the age of 50. Low hydrochloric acid can cause nutrient deficiencies, as the body’s ability to absorb vitamins, amino acids, and minerals becomes severely impaired.
